First when I bought this book I was like:
I mean, look at the cover! It’s beautiful! And the summary on what it was about made it mysterious and exiting to read.
But after I read it I was like:
Okay, maby not like that. It didn’t suck, but it wasn’t exactly good either.
So the book is about Lucinda (Luce) who comes around evrey seventeenth year, and then she meets Daniel Giorgi, and she dies and then starts to live again. Luce doesn’t know any of this, so when se starts in the school Sword & Cross and there is this mysterious and hot guy who seems really familiar but is so rude Luce is confused. Even when Daniel is rude and makes clear he wants nothing to do with Luce, he still protects her and cares about her – a lot. Daniel is also immortal, so is everybody in Sword & Cross, except Luce. So Luce falls in love with Daniel, and soon he can’t stand to controll himself. But in this lifetime Luce didn’t die. What is different now? And can they break the circle?
I thought this book would be really good, but I was wrong. It was kind of boring, there was a lot of pages that nothing really happend and everything is really confusing. So in the end they just put all the action they can come up with in about 20-50 pages. So suddenly there is a lot going on at the same time and you have no idea what is happening and why. Still, the book had it’s moments 🙂
Favourite quotes: ” – I’ve already had to wait so long. – How long? Luce asked. – Not so long that I’ve forgotteb that you’re worth evreything. Evrey sacrifice. Evrey pain. ”
